Autodesk agrees to acquire NavisWorks

NavislogoAutodesk announced today that they have agreed to acquire NavisWorks out of Sheffield, England.  "The acquisition of NavisWorks is part of Autodesk's commitment to offering more complete solutions across the AEC industry" said Jay Bhatt, senior vice president, Autodesk AEC Solutions.  NavisWorks JetStream enables clients to:

Navigate: Get a complete understanding of the project before construction

Communicate: Create a single 3D model from multiple file formats that everyone can view, explore and understand for free

Demonstrate: Quickly visualize and share design options to instantly show the implications in a way everyone can view and understand

Coordinate: Track down and resolve potential expensive design issues before construction

Simulate: Gain greater visibility of your project at any time in the construction process so things go to plan
