Tip for Buzzsaw speed
Coming to you today from sunny Las Vegas, NV - where Mike Alex and I and about 5,000 of our closest friends are at Autodesk One Team Conference 2007, which is our annual get-together for sales and technical people. It's a pretty intense week, lots of learning and some networking over pasta and chicken breast lunches served in a circus tent. No, really.
Anyway, today's tip is about improving your Buzzsaw Professional site speeds. If you don't use the Project Dashboards (Project Executive Summary, Personal Summary, etc.) that by default come up any time you click on a Project on Buzzsaw, you can log in as an admin and switch things around so that everyone sees the "Files view" first. Files view comes up faster for whatever reason, so you don't end up waiting for something you're not interested in seeing, anyway.
Just go into Buzzsaw, go to the upper right near your name, choose "Site Setup" or "Project Setup" (depending on where you are in the tree) and "Set Up Information Pages." Then near the bottom choose "Files View." Easy! Do it for every project you're not using the dashboards on. Good luck and godspeed, JP
